Two weeks ago, I returned from a trip to London. London is a place that I have been on several occasions, and I have always had a pleasant experience while I am there. As I expected, this trip was not exception to that pattern. However, the thing about this trip is that it seemed like an absolute blur. While I had plenty of time to enjoy myself and explore London during my other trips to this city, that simply wasn’t the case this time around. The reason that this trip was different from my previous ones was because this was a business trip, while my other trips to London had all been personal trips.
As instructed by my boss, I went to London for four days. While this would be enough time to have an enjoyable trip during a normal trip to London, I had to pack so many different things into those four days. From lunch meetings to huge conferences, my daily schedule for this trip was borderline crazy. However, I managed to meet all of my obligations, and from all of the feedback I have received, my trip was quite successful. However, as you can probably imagine, because I was keeping such a hectic schedule, my time in London seemed to fly by. Sure, I enjoyed all of the food I got to eat while I was there and the scenery I noticed as I was driving from one place to another, but other than those basic things, I was simply so tied up in work that I didn’t get to do much else. I’m just glad that I had already been to London a few times, because otherwise I would have felt like I missed out on so many great things!
