When you’re looking to rent a car, you might also need a few accessories to go along with that car rental. Maybe you’re traveling with children, but don’t want to lug a car seat onto the plane. Or maybe you’re going skiing and need somewhere to put your equipment. Whatever your needs are, many car rental companies are now offering car rental accessories to go along with the vehicles that they offer.

Child Car Seats

Whether you need an infant seat, a toddler’s car seat, or a booster seat, many companies are now offering these as a car rental accessory for an additional fee. This is not only great when you want to reduce your luggage load, but also if you’re not sure of a country’s requirements before you arrive.

Ski and Equipment Racks

More popular in areas where there is a great deal of skiing, canoeing, or other outdoor activities, these racks can be a great way to take all your stuff with you, and see more of the area you’re visiting!

Non-Smoking Vehicles

In many parts of the world, smoking is very common and it’s almost unheard of that someone would request a non-smoking car. In other parts of the world, a non-smoking car would be the standard so always be sure to ask, and request a non-smoking car if needed.

Additional Drivers

While you may not think of your husband or wife as an “accessory,” car rental companies usually do. You can add them to your plan, but it will cost an additional charge.

GPS Devices

Many car rental companies offer cars that have GPS devices installed right within them. However if they don’t, they can often offer you one of these at an extra cost.

These are just a few of the car rental accessories that you might be offered when you choose to rent a car. Always be sure to check with the car rental company you end up choosing so you don’t miss out on something that could make your trip even better!

Among all of the historic sites and iconic features of London, Tower Bridge and Tower of London stand out.

The Tower Bridge is a London tourist favorite with the walkway high above the River Thames and its working as a bascule (draw) bridge to this day. The Tower of London is steeped in history as it extends back to before the year 1100 and any visitor who is a fan of English history makes it a must see. Comparatively, the Tower Bridge is a new attraction, where the Tower of London is a historical treasure.

The Tower Bridge was completed in 1894 spanning the River Thames. It is a working bridge that still allows tall ships to pass through the open bridge. It also has a walkway 140 feet above the river. And with the vehicle traffic, bicyclists, and pedestrians it has over 40,000 that use or visit it daily.

The Tower of London had its foundation started in 1066 and has been ever expanding since. The first major addition was by William the Conqueror in 1078. Since that time the Who’s Who of British Royalty and history has had a hand in the tower’s history. Richard the Lionheart and Edward I had expansions given, Queen Elizabeth I was held in the tower before here ascension, and Henry the VIII had a remodel done. This is in addition to its many uses over time such as a fortress, a mint, a palace, a prison, and a treasury to name a few.

When visiting London the Tower Bridge and Tower of London are must see attractions.
